Back in the routine....

I wasn't to impressed with the Victoria's Secret fashion show. The lingerie wasn't as cute as the years before. And is it just me or does that million dollar bra look just about the same every year? I say it does. Well those of you who don't know much about me I'm working on writing a book, I may post some of the excerpts from my book to get opinions, Which could help me with my writing process and stuff. So much has happened in the last few months I still have to get situated and get back in the habit of a lot of things like my blog. Gonna go now.

home sweet home

Well as some of you know we all go through things in life and make decisions that we wish we could take back or change, the last time I posted a post I was in New York. This post is back at home in Va!! so glad to be back. I got quite a bit of e-mails from a few readers, I was so shocked I really wasn't sure if anyone read my blog or not, I mean I know people browse by but... so they were wondering when I was going to post somemore because they liked my previous posts. One person even told me that my blog inspired them and made them feel happy!! I couldn't believe it, but it made me happy to know that I was making some one's day. And if I inspire you then thank you very much, we all need to be inspired sometime. now currently i'm at a friends house writing this post. But back where I stay there is absolutely no signal what so ever, and that sucks a whole whole lot. But i'm going to go where ever I have to go in order to keep posting posts and keep people up to date. So stay tuned for updated blog posts and other happenings I have some things in the works for my blog. Once start getting a financial flow back in you'll see the changes and progress. Well gotta go 1

New York goes to Hollywood.......

Okay, people think because they get on a reality show that automatically makes them a star or that makes them acting, singer movie or what ever material. There are some people in reality t.v. that stands out they make it beyond reality t.v. and do a very good job like Toccara from the previous America's Next Top Model, I think she's good. This New York goes to Hollywood crap is BS! first of all she's nasty and rude to almost every one around her. The girl that she was beefing with at the auditions has a better chance of making it in Hollywood than (Tiffany) New York does. She can't pronounce words, her vocab is limited some of her weaves are a hot mess. I don't dislike New York , her attitude is just nasty, and she got those triple sized implants to go along with it. She got bimbo (ed) up for Hollywood. I see her getting a role in a movie that doesn't really get anywhere in the box office, one of those flops. And I am not trying to be negative because if you want fame then do what you do to get fame but people get on these reality shows and think their mega-stars, you can get dropped just as easy as you've gotten picked up or picked for a part, theres plenty of people with talent that can steal your shine. She needs to learn some humbleness and change her attitude. Vh1 must be getting desperate running out of ideas or something.......

Bernie Mac....

Hello all, I just found out that actor/comedian Bernie Mac died this morning, from pneumonia in a hospital in Chicago. Anbody out their that knows Bernie Mac may know him from House Party, Kings of Comedy, Ocean's- Eleven and many other movies including his own television sitcom The Berrnie Mac Show. Reports say that he was also suffered from Sarcoidosis, a lung disease that produces tiny lumps of cells on the body's organs but it was said that the disease had went into remission. If any of you watched Flavor of Love season 3 it's the same disease that Shy and Prancer's mother's died from. My condolences goes out to the Mac family, for their lost.

Don't make me over!!...

I just have something to say about the new 90210. When has there ever been an African American person in the show or on the set for that matter? Not that there is a problem with it. I am young but I definitely remember coming home from school, ( my sister and I) to see 90210. Then we all talked about it in school the next day. I've heard of people doing remakes of classic movies, like even though this is old it still bugs me till this day "Charlie and the chocolate factory" verses the made over version. And the made over version just plain sucked(literally). Okay so 90210 is a classic and it should be left alone. Right? who agrees with me? I don't see anything happening for this new show I'm sorry thats just my opinion, it could turn out to be good who knows. Oh and if you remember one of my previous posts that was about the Wendy Williams show, remember I said that if I watched the show again and changed my views on how I felt about the show I would write about it right? So okay, some episodes are good and some aren't, thats my word!

What the!?

Hello all, It's going to be in the 90's for the entire week over here and very humid, can you say it's going to be miserable out here or what!? I came home from the gym this morning, turned the t.v. on a caught the last few minutes or so of the Wendy Williams show. My friend just the other day, asked me had I saw it yet since from what she told me it's only airing in New York. I told her no and now I finally had the chance to see half of it today. I'm am so sorry but these are just solely my opinions and I am by no means knocking or hating because anyone that can do something positive with their life I'm all for it, it's better than being out in the streets somewhere or worse. Any way I really feel like her show will not last that long, who knows I could be wrong but it's just how can I put this?.....Hell it's damn near tacky and ghetto and I wish she would get that blond weave out of her head and get a color that looks more appealing on her. Oh no! did I just say all of that!? I am so totally sorry I was thinking that in my head and accidentally wrote it on today's post!! Oh well....... on top of that she has this snobbish stuck up way about her, maybe i'm just judging her from her attitude from her radio show and now her talk show....I don't like it. I'm going to watch another episode of it and see if my feelings about her and the show change if they do I'll put up a post if not I won't, gotta go!

Good Good

Yes, that is the title of Ashanti's latest single and new video "Good Good". I like this video, this is a good look for Ashanti, and not only are the 80's in Retro is just in period. That's the look now but the colors are more brighter and bold with a slight modernized twist. And she also had hmm what else can we refer him to other than Nelly (Ashanti's man maybe?) Even though their not making there business known if they are dating or not I presume that they must at least be good friends if nothing more, their all in each others videos and in each other's faces, let's not forget to mention they were sitting beside each other at the BET awards this year. Honestly I wasn't to sure how I felt Ashanti was going to do on her album this year, so far from what I've heard I really like it. And if Pretty Ricky does not sound like H-town you know the trio group from the 80's and 90's, they sung a song that we all use to bop our heads to when some of us know we were to young to be listening to that song!! "Knockin' Boots" Yes! and they sound so good. They just released the their new single "Cuddle Up" off of their third album titled "80's Babies" feat their new girl group Butta Creame. And the ladies can saaaang!! Okay so here is Ashanti's new vid and Pretty Ricky's remake of "knockin' da boots"! Press play!

When it all falls down......Get back up

Hello all!, I must start off by saying that even though USA fell last night, I give her nothing but props for bouncing right back up, joining in with the audience by clapping for her self, and then strutting the rest of the way to her spot on stage. Fantabulous!! For those of you that missed out, shame on you! but not to worry I have it right here! *Smooches*

Movies....

Is it just me or does Eddie Murphy's new movie 'Meet Dave' look like a big flop? Now don't get me wrong, Eddie is funny. But this has got to be the stupidest looking movie about to come out played by him that I have ever seen. (Is stupidest even a word?, I think I just made that up) 'Norbit' looked stupid when it first started advertising but it was very funny, in my opinion anyway. And 'Wall-e' the movie about the little robot, sold more than Angelina Jolie's movie 'Wanted'. And since were on the topic of movies I know I'm really late, but remember I can do that. I saw 'Meet the Brown's' it was a very nice movie, that was one that I also thought wasn't going to do so well, but Tyler Perry as always did it again.

Girl Power!!

You'd think with this rain and these thunderstorms it would be a little cool. No it's even hotter! Speaking of hot this past Sat. I went to the WEEN empowerment network 'Don't judge me...empower me' tour. It was full of information and very uplifting, geared towards all women but mostly women of color, there were a panel of women for each topic, those topics included health, finances, careers and success and relationships. Some of the women to name a few were MC Lyte (host) Valeisha Butterfield creator of WEEN and she also works in the entertainment industry. Lil mama, Letoya Luckett former member of the group Destiny's Child, Melyssa Ford, Alesha Renee and others. I would have pictures up for all to see but my pathetic digital camera has failed me over the years and now I must do an upgrade or remain pictureless and since I can't go without getting a picture of something It's time for an upgrade! Oh and I forgot to mention their was one man, and that was Hill Harper whoo, he's even yummier in person! the next time I attend one of these events I will have pictures!! The tour was a great idea and it turned out to be a really nice event, I left feeling even stronger and more empowered and believing that I can do anything that I want to do in life. Nice experience.

Fabu-lash Curlers!!

You won't believe me when I tell you what I've came across!! This is so genius, cute and affordable but yet so simple it makes you think why didn't I think of that!? This heated lash curler 16.00$ from Sephora by Sephora is where it's at. No more messing around with those manual lash curlers that get all clumpy and gooey with mascara dating back from to years ago, and no worries about the handle getting stuck and not lifting up and down anymore!! *squeal* just let the lash curler heat up for 15 seconds, start at the root of the lash and comb outward, as if you were putting on mascara. Comb into any shape desired it's even good for those stubborn lashes that won't budge with the regular lash curlers.Apply mascara afterwards for curly, flawless star-studded lashes!!

BET Awards 08'

Hello to all! I have a lot to say so i'm just going to cut to the chase. The BET awards last night was better than last years, I must say personally. My girl Keyshia Cole worked it on stage, even when she happens to get out of breath or make a little boo-boo on stage she comes back stronger.Usher put on a very good performance did anyone catch that look on Ne-yo's face at the end of it? Looked a little green with envy if you ask me or maybe he was thinking that was hot but I got something better? the look leaves me puzzled. I definitely cannot get over Chris Brown and Ciara's dance routine they had together to his single 'Take You Down' It was HOTT! and were all glad that Chris Brown is partially of age so that we can dance in these raunchy, booty shakin' ways to him. I could see from last night's performance that Ciara is no longer a virgin, that's if she started out as one to begin with.Somebody is has blown that back out! Could somebody please loan me 50 cents I need it for the parking meter today! And why did they zoom in on Rihanna's face when Chris and C were dancing? and did Chris the same way when Rihanna was performing? T-pain looked like a damn fool in his ugly metallic and black suit with that top hat I now officially hate, no matter the style or color it's gotta go!! Rick Ross was just down right wrong for what he had on last night! who told him he could come out on stage and do that? I would say up until Big boi and Luda came out the circus show theme fit perfectly, it was a freak show. Other performers were Alicia keys who also had a good performance and didn't we all like how S.W.V, EnVogue and TLC re united and performed with their groups on stage. Lil Wayne tore it up with his performance. I have no idea what he was doing to Kanye when he went on stage to except his award but it left me puzzled and got me to thinking.... Nelly J.D. Fergie and Ciara did great, Kudos to Fergie for rapping her ass off ( I love her!) and Nelly because his body looked oh so good!! Al Green took home the Lifetime Achievement award with performances by Maxwell, Jill Scott, Anthony Hamilton, Al Green Himself and John Legend. Qunicy Jones took home the Humanitarian Award. It wasn't a bad year this year. Oh and my friend is puzzled about how U.G.K won an award for best video of the year when the video was from like a year ago or so? Once again my mind is puzzled on that one! Check out what I thought was one of the best performances from last night's awards, Smooches!

Livin' for the City!!

Talk about hot!! the weather up here is blazing, and yes today is the first day of Summer! Some days are actually getting to be unbearable but thats why you go out prepared. All I've been wearing are those cute balloon and form fitting summer dresses with tights, plaid Capri's, color denim shorts with the hot gladiator sandals, A bangle or big bracelet or sometimes my flip flops. All the hot in style gear for the summer, I've also been hitting up the community pool on occasions. I just recently got a writing gig writing for an online magazine call T.O.U.R-Mag ( turn off your radio) they just had their launch party yesterday but unfortunately I missed it because I had to work. I haven't written anything for the magazine but will be soon. I will let you know when my first article and the ones after that are posted on the site. I'm so excited for this opportunity I'm going to be writing about fashion! (fashion journalism) which is what I'm going to major in . Yes that is a picture of me, not a good shot I know but the next time I promise it'll be better!!

Bergdorf Goodman's...

The weather was very nice in the city yesterday. I went to Times Square and waltzed down 5th ave. when all of a sudden I was stopped in my tracks. The display windows in Bergdorf Goodman were amazing! every detail was to the "T". People stopped by to take pictures and discuss the wonderful work. The theme was like an Alice In Wonderland slash those old freak show circus looks. They used real stuffed animals, poor animals! but they were so cute dressed up in suits and little top hats, and dresses with umbrella's. I manage to snag one pic of it, it wasn't such a hot shot though, the sun was glaring on the glass and little Nicole was in the way. Hopefully the display will still be up this week, then I could try to go get some more pics. Oh well, I'm outie for the day. Lets all pray that the nice weather stays!

Save The Game

One of my dear friends, informed me that the CW was trying to give t.v. show The Game the boot. I already had a fear that it may happen since they kicked Girlfriends to the curb. She informed me that people have been sending e-mails and making telephone calls to the CW network, So the show can stay on, So far so good it's been said that they were thinking about keeping the show on air, since the phone calls and e-mails have been flooding through. To keep it coming here are some numbers and e-mail addresses, so that you can show your support and help save The Game.

Girl Friends

We all know the way the CW television series Girlfriends, was done wrong and unjustly. Why when it comes to the other shows they get a season finale, they get brought on talk shows, you get to see and hear the cast talk etc. When it comes to the black shows, they hardly ever get to go off air with a season finale. They just vanish into thin air, we don't hear about them anymore or we won' t see different members of the cast until a movie or something comes out. I came across this petition thats going on, for those of you who haven't heard about it, you can go to the website and sign so that Girlfriends can at least get a season finale. I already put my vote in and those who watched Girlfriends should do the same, even if you didn't watch them but you know it's wrong sign the petition.

Show Recap pt. 2

So this season of ANTM will be over very shortly. Two girls went home, one by choice and the other by elimination. It made me mad at the girl who chose to go home. Someone else should have gotten her spot. I knew from the first episode they shouldn't have picked her. She didn't have a clue. And how about the new show girlicious? I don't even look at it, that Robin chick is definitely not good with managing groups look at the Pussy Cat Dolls......And what ever happen to that Asia chick who was suppose to be apart of the group? I know thats last year but I had to bring it up. The show I'm definitely in love with is Gone Country, and I've recently became obsessed with Trick my Truck. Sorry, and in the words of Carnie from Gone Country "Eh eh ,pressure pressure" that just did not fit anywhere into this post. But because it's mine I usually let the unusual slide. Good day y'all!

Show Recap

Okay, A raisin in the sun was a very good movie. I am so ready for these new shows to start coming on I don't know what to do. Ice and Rayna on the Flavor of Love got sent home and they should have. One thing about Ice though she was real, she told them from the beginning what she was, she know she was wrong for doing radio interviews at the house though that was ghetto. She made her self look low by saying she would sleep with Flav if she had to. Tsk, tsk, tsk girl have you NO class!? the house snitch is Shy. Then Ice sat on national elevision and said it loud and proud I like black guys but Flav ain't that attractive. She didn't lie about that, and a lot of the girls I believe feel that way, they all want there shine they don't want Flav. You see? I am to caught up in this ghetto show! I'm out.

The 80's

The 80's is making a big major comeback. As a matter of fact it already has. but for some reason I just keep thinking about the show Save By The Bell, well that was a show in the 80's and here are a few other things that was in the 80's to.
Big Hair, spiked, hiked majorly teased and pulled to the side.
Let's not forget the leg warmer's, worn over shoes or jeans and along with the work out gear a lot of people use to wear. And the fingerless gloves, I remember my mom wearing the big hair and the leg warmers. A LOT! well that's it for now.

I guess these names go along with his many personalities hum? He's also going to be in the Broadway play gone t.v. movie in "A Raisin In The Sun" I wont miss it, it has other great names like Phylisha Rashard, Sanaa Lathan and others. The movie airs Feb 25th on abc.

Happy late V-day!

Hope everyone's Valentine was sweet, full of surprises and all that mushy stuff. :)Being as that I'm single, I watched weddings and Barbara Streisand movie's all night long. They brought back memories from being a child. My mom was into those kind of movies, like Funny Girl, West Side Story, Breakfast at Tiffany's, and she loved loved Marilyn Monroe flicks and my sister and I did too. Well I bought myself some chocolates, and sweet little card all to me, from me. I have no shame in my singleness, it was a nice lonely day. So here's a late Valentine to you all out there. Because I know i'm not the only one that's late either.

The strike is coming to an end.....

Good news! the writer's guild strike will be coming to an end soon, thank goodness now I can get back on schedule with the regularly scheduled shows! A few of the shows that I know are coming back for sure are The Game, big kudos. Grey's Anatomy, Ugly Betty, and then there are the others like the new shows that had came out, oh and I can not forget Brothers and Sisters I love that show too. On some other stuff though I heard that Girlfriends was canceled. I think that they should at least let them finish out this season and then not bring them back if they are being canceled. I had a feeling they were on the verge of that, the story lines just weren't all that pull you in and keep you glued to the screen type of thing. Until next time.....

Flava Flav!

The third season premiere of Flavor of Love hit the television sets last night, I must say the women this season aren't all that attractive, this is a rough group, we'll see if their going to be just as wild, classless and dramatic as the ladies from the last two seasons. Isn't it wrong how he sent all the chicks from the internet home? I thought why even go through the trouble of telling them they've won bringing them on the show, just a big guilt trip if you ask me. He talks about how he's once again looking for the love of his life and someone who doesn't mind all his kids, he doesn't want the drama again, but thats exactly what hes going to get with a house full of women. The true love far as i'm concerned was New York if you asked me, my sister and I agreed that she really did or she seemed she really did want him for who he was not for his money. Personally I think he just likes to get his freak on, so it's just another season of him getting some between the sheets, and the show will be doing guest appearances from a few of the ladies from last season's show. Wow, I get a kick out of these chicks.

Grammylicious

The Grammy's was a good one. Opening with Rihanna and old school group The Time, who also won her first grammy for her hit single "Umbrella". Followed by a smash performance with Tina Turner and Beyonce singing "Proud Mary" they rocked the stage, it was very entertaining Beyonce had the moves down, but we all know Tina is one of the originals when it comes to the moves. Kanye West received his grammy and as always his ego got in the way stating " I told Common not to drop his album the time as me, this is my award." The music started playing to cut Kanye off when he began talking about his mother he stated again that " It would be in good taste to stop the music." The crowed agreed in a light applause so the music stopped he continued and was off the stage. Country singer Vince Gill won a Grammy for one of his songs, it was given to him by one of the Beetles when he received the award he stated " Wow a beetle gave me my award, ever have that happen to you Kanye?" the crowed gave a response and Kanye just gave a smile. Good come back, maybe that toned his ego down a bit. umm I don't think so! And when Usher and Quincy Jones read the nominations before presenting the winner Usher made a statement saying " There are no losers in this category Kanye." which got another response from the audience. Turns out this category was for album of the year which Kanye did not get. And saving the best for last Amy Winehouse was given five Grammy's and performed in London via satellite. It was said something was wrong with her Visa, her performance was very good but she looked a tad unstable, glad to hear she is in rehab and hopefully things will look up for her, she was in utter shock when she won her Grammy, she paused for a minute collapsed into her band members crying and gave her props to London, her husband Black who is incarcerated, ray ray her mom, dad and some others. Tonight was her night. Oh and I forgot to mention that I loved Kanye's performance the glow in the dark shades and vest, hot I'd def rock that.

WHAT The Fugg!

Okay, so I was looking at t.v. yesterday and Paris Hilton is suppose to be going to Harvard? this is all a big joke. She's only in because she's Paris Hilton! I don't know her personally so I really can't judge her, but she doesn't even act like she has Harvard brains! what about the regular everyday people who have to bust their butts just to get to a school like that. These celeb kids are getting fame off their parent's, at least the Simmons girls do get out and try to do something, even though it comes very easily to them. But still Paris in Harvard? makes no sense, so they asked a couple of the student's that attend and a few said it would be cool because they liked Paris, and then their were some who thought it was just stupid. I'll give her her props after she's stayed in school for two or four years and has gotten a degree and graduated. I'm out.

There's a new type of foundation in town. It comes in a cute little aluminum bottle. All you do is turn the dial to adjust the shade from lighter to darker, the formula is suppose to blend into your skin for a natural, flawless look. I'm just wondering is it just another foundation on the market out to get our money,or does it actually work?

My I can and you can do it, Victory speech!

I know i've been gone for quite some time now without giving warning to my readers. And I am very sorry, that's really unblogfessional (unprofessional). But I've been doing so much lately that I really almost lost myself. I love my blog I'm proud of it whether I have few fans or no fans. it's like a little show case of my accomplishment, I haven't communicated with anybody lately and that's not cool either. Maybe it was depression? I don't know but it's 2008 now and The Chocolate Apple is not going to sit around moping around and crying in my sorrows, I've got bigger fish to catch and fry, So there is going to be a change and I mean it. I'm going to get back on my regular grind, this time when I stand up I'm not going to sit down. I'm not going to let the days and life just pass me by, then i'll wake up one day regretting what I didn't do, or I wanted to do because somebody thought it wasn't a good idea, I want to wake up at least knowing that even if I did't make it I tried. And that's all that matters. Some people may be shocked my some of my decisions, or tell me i'm going down the wrong path I don't know. But if you don't have anything nice to tell me or at least something encouraging then don't say it at all, and i'm sure it's others out there that feel the same way. If you feel i' making a mistake pull me to the side and say, even though i don't agree with what your doing go out there and be safe, give it all you've got. And if you don't make it at least you tried and made an effort. So i'm just telling all me fellow Chocolate Apples out there it's 2008 now, it's time for a change what ever you wanted to do and you felt you couldn't , or someone told you you couldn't , don't believe it only YOU know what YOU are capable of and what YOU can do! so get yourself out there and make it happen, don't be afraid of falling down. I know I won't.
That's the Juice!
